Many examples can be found in all forms of media - films, television, radio shows, comics/manga, etc., so narrowing them down to just films could be unjustified. Even though I absolutely hated that movie for trying to ruin everything that Douglas Adams brought to life, I'll vote Marvin just because Marvin is one of my absolute favorite robot characters.
