watched 1/2 of World Trade Centre

i had some huge misgivings about this one but i let my curiosity get the better of me.

i have to say that so far - based on what i've seen - this is an important movie and it had to be made. the film up to now - had been handled with tact... it deals with the impact it had on people - as individuals.

one of the greatest strenghts of people - is also one of its greatest weaknesses. We are tough, we can survive.... but that also causes us to forget.

we have rememberance days that mean very little to people these days .. understandably - people for the most point who were born in the last 30 - 40 years havent had to deal with the impact of WWII personally.

the same thing may happen with Sept. 11 - but i hope not. people should never forget what happened. its shouldnt be sensationalized or trivialized .. but it should be remembered always.

Jason Goes to Hell: The Final Friday

Barring one HUGE plothole (2 if you want to be picky...), this is easily one of my favourites in the series. Original, gory, and brought a great new character into the mythos...much, much more than you can say for installments like Parts 6 and 7.

Just finished off the Blade trilogy.
Ranked in comparison to other installments;

Blade Two > Blade Three > Blade One.

The Hitcher

wow. this was great! not really horror, but suspense and action, haha. The *spoiler* main suspense scene with the girl tied up was insane, totally not ending how i thought! kinda sad though *end spoiler* I loved it, very intense.

9/10

You've gotta ignore the plotholes with flicks like this for sure. I loved the dispaching of Jason at the begining!
Have you seen The Hidden dude? I dug Jason Goes To Hell but The Hidden kicked its ass.

Collateral (2004)

Fun movie, nothing more nothing less. Good performances, as usual, by Cruise and Foxx. I was a little dissatisfied with the ending, but it worked, I suppose, enough for the flick.

Syriana (2005)

It's nice to see a film with such a passionate message to get across, but the overall product was a little too hectic. Good acting and good pace, but it felt at times as though Gaghan was shoving a little too much information down our throats at once.

The Time Machine.

A very underrated movie IMO. Guy Pearce did excellently with the limited scope he had for acting, plus the pace and the timing of the movie was nicely done. No complains about the CGI shots either, like the moon cracking, the settlements on the side of the hills, the futuristic earth etc. Overall, I enjoyed this one.

Fast, pacy, enjoyable flick.
