Spectacular movie, killer ending, great editing, Scorsese at his best.

only had a couple of problems with the movie ..

(these are not spoilers)

- i found the music too contrived and intrusive a lot of the time... distracting -

- the very very very last shot - with the thing on the balcony.

about as subtle as the glowing eyes in angelheart.

other than that - fantastic film

Silent Hill. It kinda tripped at the end, and what actually happened with Rose and Sharon is hazy (are they alive? is Sharon evil? Cmon now...)

all in all though, i liked it. GREAT atmosphere, probably on eo fthe best atmospheric horrors since the Ring. Creepy as hell. I actually watcjed it a second time the next morning. Beta the hell out of Doom.

It's a good thing it did well. Writers really should not write a first movie with "Wait until the sequal" questions left. it's not like it was Lord of the Rings where there was a story thaat bridged 3 seperate volumes to begin with. Granted, they have quite a few silent jhill games, but that is a BIG risk making a video game movie. shouldve given just a bit more info.

Bram Stoker's Way of the Vampire

Gimme an 'S'! S! Gimme a 'U'! U! Gimme a 'C'! C! Gimme a 'K'! K!

What's that spell? Bram Stoker's Way of the Vampire!

Wow! This movie sucked some of the most major balls of any I've seen recently and that's pretty rough news because I've been watching Troma & D grade horror lately! Horrible script, bad directing, bad acting, stupid fight scenes , stupid FX, minimal gore, corny lines that're so bad they're... just bad. This film basically offers zero entertainment value whatsoever and I could only recommend to someone looking for some way to inflict slow and painful punishment on thier enemies. The majority of the gore is so low budget that it just looks like streawberry jelly, but there is one part where a heart is ripped out that looks pretty good. That solitary 3 second scene is the only thing saving this movie from an 'F' grade.

Yes, the movie was definitely dedicated to the SH fans.

I can definately see where you're coming from. I had a little trouble with the soundtrack myself, it was about three songs that they played over and over again, and it didn't seem like they had any volume control. The only time I liked this was the irish type song (I think it was the Dropkick Murphys) that they pumped during the long awaited title sequence. I loved the way this movie didn't even really get started until about 20 minutes into it.

As far as the crawling thing...yeahhhh, that was pretty blatant. My friend hated that, too. I'm not sure what I thought about it.
