Unbreakable
Had forgotten Mr. Night's conventions of always having a great twist at the end - so that came out of nowhere and had a greater impact on me then it would have if I was expecting it. Really great ending; though I could have done without the epilogue dialogue overlayed. If it just ended with Samuel's final line I would have been much happier. That's just me. I'm a big fan of open endings. The sophistication of a regular story is what makes this special - and I have been really interested in media of this nature lately. Even creating my ideal sophistications of vampires, werewolves, zombies and whatnot. Over-done myths that, with a spark of realistic darkness, can be refreshing and original. It's slow and not for everyone, but if you stick with it, it has a great payoff. Love the train station sequence with the glimpses of prior dirty deeds. Definately a good blind-buy for me.

Didn't get to Session 9 - fell asleep before I could pop it in. I'll watch it tonight, though. :)

Finally made myself a nifty avatar, too. :p

Yeah, the handshake was raw...best scene in the film.
My personal favourite (and the only one I've REALLY liked thus far) from MNS.
That said, I've not yet seen the lady in the water.

I finished watching STEAMBOY.
Wow...if you're into shithot animation, have a look, more info on it in my prior post. Breathtaking...

Cursed - I don't really like werewolf films that much...didn't think much of the cast of this one, everyone was at their shittiest, even the guy who plays (IMO) the best Lex Luthor ever on screen...the storyline was weak...the werewolves looked really bad. It had some funny-ish parts, but yeah, wasn't too thrilled...however, I don't think it's the absolutely "terrible" movie everyone seems to think it is...I mean, I didn't turn it off before the end?

i thought the animation was fascinating but i didnt like the story or direction..
the characters were flat and i just couldnt get into the story ..
i remember being tired as hell when i saw it and it ran over 2 hours.

i also had high expectations because i love Akira.

i guess i'm just not into this 'steam punk' thing - since they gave it a name.

Loved Unbreakable and I thought the ending was pretty predictable. As far as open endings I think it's done enough and while I enjoy it I think I like a good strong ending better. I think it's harder to write a great ending that really brings things to a close. Like History of Violence, I LOVED that ending.

Blood slowly runs down my chest,Mezmerized by my pale skin yet you look impressed.
You raise the knife above my chest,Wispering words to my heart of theft.Welcome to the my world,The blade of that knife is the last thing my heart held.
