Aw, that's a shame. I had his Do It Yourself Monster Makeup Book when I was a kid, and used a lot of his techniques- even up till recent times. Very talented, creative guy.

RIP Dick Smith
Not sure where to place this, but figured this would be a good spot.
One of the best makeup artists ever passed away 7/30/14 at age 92. Great work involving old age (LITTLE BIG MAN, HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS, AMADEUS, THE GODFATHER, THE HUNGER) and body damage (THE GODFATHER again, TAXI DRIVER and THE EXORCIST). At least he lived a full life, was recognized and we still have the films to watch. |

Really can't believe that, so sad especially if it was suicide. He was in so many movies that i loved as a child and many others i love as an adult. A great and hilarious actor. A true loss to film. He will be missed.

Man, Williams was a comedian, a great dramatic actor (and underrated in that capacity), but any guy who names his daughter Zelda (yes, after the princess) is a kindred spirit of mine.
