i can do with out austin he's not a wrestler he's simply a character. true fan's of pro wrestling watch wrestling good wrestling not this bra and panties crap. i mean it's fun but when i wan to watch wrestling that's what i want to see. i can appreciate the entertainment part of it but wwe just go's overboard.

no aj styles, rey mysterio junior, jerry lynn, rob van damn, ricky steamboat. that my friend is wrestling. if you consider austin to be the best you are what i call the occasional wrestling fan who appreciates the entertainment part of it. because that is what steve austin is if you are telling me that yo like him because of his "wrestling" ability i really don't know what to tell you? because he is not by any mean's a great wrestler. he got over because of his acting because he is good at the entertainment part of it. that's all.

damien u are dead wrong. sure austin was great at acting but he was also very good at wrestling. IMO he is the best wrestler and will be remembered. He is already in the legends book. He made history. And that's the bottom line, cause Stone Cold said so.

ok can u name four moves that stone cold does that is impressive.................... no i didnt think so. either you guy's don't know what true good wrestling is or you never really watched it. do u ever hear people say wow that stone cold did one hell of a dropkick last night? no u hear man he drink's them beer's like they were nothin or did you hear what he said to vince mcmahon. the truth is and you know it you like him because of his attitude and his character that by no mean's make 's you a great wreslter. im sure you think hulk hogan is a great wreslter too? another example of someone who wasn't great at wrestling but was extremely popular because of his look and his character.

Did you ever see Austin wrestle as Stunning Steve in WCW (think it was also still NWA when he first started wrestling there)? He was a great wrestler before injuries. He could pull off just about any wrestling move that did not involve high flying. I noticed you only listed (with the possible exception of Steamboat) guys that can do incredible high impact physical acts, but most (again, with the exception of Steamboat) have no idea how to work the psychology side of a match. Flair was the greatest wrestler of all time because he could work the psychology side and the pace of the match better than anyone else that has ever lived. This also applies to HBK when he was easily the best North American wrestler in the 90s. This is where Austin now excels. No one in the business can work the psychology side of a match like Austin. THAT, my friend, is wrestling. There is more to wrestling than just performing gymnastics with another person like Van Damn does.
