I didn't read the whole thread so this may have been discussed already, but in my opinion, the absolute WORST sequel to a mindblowingly unique and fantastic film was The Matrix Reloaded. There's not even another sequel I can consider in it's place.... They ruined Morpheus in this movie. In The Matrix, he was one of the coolest characters in cinema history & in the sequel, he was some helpless goon yelling at a bunch of people like a fucktard in a big cave. Man, just thinking about it is getting me worked up so I guess that's all I'm really gonna say on it...

Blade 2 is not as good as the original but not horrible. The story isnt great but the action rocks. And then there is the third which brings in a dodgy dracula type person which is not the best move!

All of the blade movies are worth watching. The first is still the best, but none of them are bad.

As far as the worst sequel, Wishmaster 3 hands down. I loved the first two Wishmaster movies, mainly because of Andrew Divoff as the Djinn. As soon as they replaced him starting with the third movie, that was the end of the series for me.

Blade 2 was the best of the trilogy, IMO. It brought a new look to the vampire story that has been told so many times, over and over. Del Toro did an excellent job with the movie and the characters were far more intriguing then the ones in the first and third.

And speaking of Blade 3, what a horrible way to end such a great saga. How many times has the whole ultimate dracula thing been done before?? To many times. I can only hope that they will come back with another one, but I would bet my left nut that will not happen.....

We will have to agree to disagree about Blade 2 but I hope that we can agree that Blade 3 was the worst of the trilogy and well...... shit!

I think that is very rare to find a sequel that is good or dare I say it better than the original.

Candyman 3 was awful. Big breasted blonde heroine? Pants!

My vote goes for Jaws 4 (which I think is winning). The Shark roared. ROARED!

I don't think Reloaded is the absolute worst sequel ever, though I agree it is up there, because the first one was just so good, and there was so much potential for the next two to be every bit as good; but both fell flat, neither did justice to the story they set up so well in the first one. It seemed like they just didn't know where to go with it. I consider both among the most disappointing sequels, if not among the worst.
