people tend to gravitate towards others with the same interests or points of view ... with the grand exception of 'The Fights' where you mistakenly try to knock some sense into people (guilty !) or you just do it because you enjoy confrontation.

there are people i dont interract with because they arent saying anything that i have something to interract with or they disgust me.

the ones that really confound me are the ones that seem to be here for any reason other than to discuss horror - or film at all.

why the fuck did they pick this forum in the 1st place ?

I've always wondered that myself. I've seen many people here who have not posted one single thing about anything horror. They come in, say hello I'm a huge horror fan, and then proceed to never post a single word about it. It boggles the mind.

or they say : there's only so much you can talk about - and if you go 100 pages back in any direction you found they've never one made a post about anything related to the forum.

why they are here :

- to meet chicks (why here ? there's million other places to do it)
- to start shit up (unfortunately the horror genre attracts social fuckups like flies to butter - makes you almost ashamed to be a fan of this type if film)
- to post pictures of themselves - exclusively WTF ??!!

then there are those that combine the 3.

since the big clean up most of the idiots leave because they only enjoy the conflict ..its too boring for them otherwise ....

unfortunately - not all of them... some wait patiently for a chance to jump in again.

It's too bad the subject got turned back onto the actual reason this thread was started....ahh, to be Angra's bitch *sigh* :D

Anyway, I try not to ignore anyone but since I miss alot of posts-it's bound to happen.
I only put Cheeba on ignore but since coming back I don't see the point, It doesn't matter anymore.

I have no idea why this forum used to grate me so, I guess it took a new sweet precious baby to put things into perspective for me. :)

Nope. I'm pretty sure it was me what did it.

i suppose i'm probably on the edge of being one of those annoying non-horror hdc members. i do post occassionally down-below, but generally find i'm more interested in my relationship with the other hdc members than i am with any given horror film/novel

i appreciate urge's comment - i think he's probably right that people tend to gravitate towards those with similar interests. though i also think its interesting how people drift apart as well - i suppose its the same thing with people who just drift off the board altogether.

i actually think - with a few snide side-swipes - this has been an interesting and fruitful conversation

i guess, not to be maudlin here, that i've been spending more and more time alone lately (and with my puppy!) and, so, relationships seem both interesting and strange to me these days

(plus as i can't post monkey pictures anymore i've lost anything else to say)

You participated in the HDC Top 100, writing several blurbs. I think that counts for something.

Sometimes I find that the best part about this forum is that you don't have to talk about horror, you just know that everyone gets it, thats what it's like when you feel comfortable.

As for meeting chicks, I'm curious, who has been hooking up in here,I haven't noticed it.
