I don't really like Dimmu Borgir as much as I used to...they're using way to much synthesizers and shit. When I saw them live about a month back, you could barely hear shit, it felt like your brain was going to melt and shit.

If anyone sings here, would anyone know what the best mic is to purchase for vocals? I need a mic, I heard shures are really good, but that was one persons opinion, plus they're close to $120.

This is true. I might buy one anyway, I mean I have the money for it, but I just want to be sure.

Yeah, in my other band our vocalist had a few mics, and since I did backing vocals, I just used his. But now when I want to get ahold of him I can't, because he probably knows a good brand.

i have a Shure Evis, for $200 or so its the best all around performance mic you can buy i think. Its a dynamic im pretty sure, and has a frequency bump at 1000hrtz or so which makes vocals sound really present and warm which is nice. Sometimes you want it to sound flat tho, thats when i just eq it out, no problem.

Anyway ive been really happy with mine i have the 58a beta i think. Just check out the ones on Musiciansfriend they have all youll need i think.

$200 is pushing it, that's almost a whole paycheck for me.:(

But I might check one out. Where did you get it? Did you order it online?

Hell yeah.
So, how do we start this collaboration, then?
Who should do what, etc?
It might be a good idea to start a new thread for this, eh?
