oh yeah btw bwind i think you won the bet against sam.....sin city made about 28 million and beauty shop only brought in about 17 million so Sin City was 3 million shy from doubiling what beauty shop made even though it came out 2 days early....congrats for the win bwind :)

Sin City #1 at the Box Office and I think that they could possibly have it for two weeks because I will see it atleast two more times since I have seen it 3 already :) and work of mouth should keep it alive!

I'm really glad it's doing so well. Hopefully this means that other really cool dark comics will see the silver screen. (Knowing Hollywood's tendency to bounce on anything that makes money, I'm sure that three or four of them have probably already went in to production since those weekend box office figures came out a couple hours ago.)

I CAN NOT WAIT until they decide to make Preacher into a movie. The storyline for that series is by far the coolest I've ever read!

i just saw a small feature on it on TV last nite (thats right - i actually saw TV last nite for a couple of minutes)

All this chit chat about the film and i didnt even realize that Rodriguez directed it !

definately going to see it.

Maybe the McFarlane Sin City figures I bought a few years ago might be worth some money now :D

That's probably a safe wager. Give me a shout if you actually decide you want to sell them.

the placement of this movie on my top 100 means that Batman Begins could make the list and STILL not be as good, and I never expected it to make the list at all. Looks like I'll have been wrong twice in this thread
