Chain saw-wielding cannibal families (TCM)? Ghosts (The Others)? Actually, reading your post again I sympathise with your lack of metal scope - do you really need your horror to be based around your everyday life? The horror in BWP comes not from the seen and familiar, but from the unseen and the mysterious - the mystery which remains long after the film has finished and troubles your mind in the middle of the night. But if you really need your "relatability", give the movie a passing thought when out camping in the woods - probably not a wise thing to do. Relatable/relatability aren't even words. |
