Your Favourite Predator?
To get me ready for the full release of the new Aliens Versus Predator game, I have decided to do a marathon. With the Alien films in the post, I decided to make the Predator night even and throw in AVP. Kicking off the night with AVP, I noticed a few things.
1. It isn't as bad as I remember. There are a few plot holes and The Predators behave oddly. What I told myself, we can't apply rules to every predator. Who's to say that no Predator has any compassion. Humans have moral differences between the,. Perhaps scar worked with the human because he valued his life just that little bit more than his honor. 2. I got quite excited seeing the different Predators. Before, I'd always seen my favourite as the original. By favourite, I mean costumes wise, not character. But looking at the "Celtic" predator I just soaked up his awesomeness. Yes, he was a bit bulky: but he was going through initiation. Maybe he wanted to be prepared for anything. And his mask was so...new. It was refreshing. Something about it grabbed me. So I'm wondering, who's your favourite Predator? Is it... "Jungle Predator" [Predator]   "Lost Predator" [Predator 2]    continued...

Mine would have to be the one from Predator 2. Taking on an entire train packed with armed commuters, gang members and cops, especially when they all took on him without any fear, was simply badass.
Add to that all the super weaponry it was carrying (man that flying disk was a real ass-kicker), and that is one tough SOB to beat alright. "Want some candy?" The original one had jungle and camouflage going for him. Plus, the commando unit never knew what they were expecting, cept Arnie who saw it in full view towards the end. Second place would go to Wolf from AvP: Requiem. It singlehandedly cleaned up an entire town with Alien(s) infestation, including the Predalien. Another badass.

Rewatching Predator 2, I noticed that one of the many preds at the end shares the same mask as the Celtic. Go figure. Perhaps it's the same one? The idea is that the first 2 were just "kids" who were playing on Earth and the next three were teens having a rite of passage trial. It's plausible that it's the same one.

Jungle, Scar & Elder one looks pretty good.:) Although I absolutely love the first part but I'm not a huge fan of the series.

Character wise I'd go with the original every time, although "want some candy?" is awesomely creepy.
I think I love the way the Celtic looks the most unique.
