Woke up this morning...

to a loud bang...and everything was red.
Looking through a slight squint I thought to myself, this isn't sunrise.
From the sky above to the ground all the eye could see was a crimson hue.
Noticed it was brighter than it ought to be, 'specially for a guy that's just woken up...yet no light emanated from any given place.
Next thing that hit was how the air seemed almost palatable, a semi acidic yet earthern taste and smell was upon it, all the while the sky before me was visibly swirling.
An unusually heavy breeze was banging the door relentlessly upon its frame...

So yeah, that's how I actually woke up.
Weird. Didn't taste real nice. Stayed home.
Apparently the occurrence of this kind of weather is pretty infrequent.
Can't say I've ever seen it. Glad I did though, it was interesting.

Heard about this on the news. It's pretty amazing. Gives everything a kind of sepia tone.

The pics/footage kind of doesn't do it justice...the real thing was just a huge fuckin' weird out. Ha, it made international news?
Crazy storms, high winds, and apparently we've been getting earthquakes too, eh fun for me :rolleyes:

Looked out my window again this morning, part of me hoping I might see it again...nothing but the ever monotonous blue sky, no mist, no clouds, nothing.
Seems like it's gonna be pretty warm.
You should see the cars though, blanketed.
