John Carpenter...Tobe Hooper... Stanley Kubrick...even though Stephen King wasn't quite satisfied with Kubrick's rendition of "The Shining"

i wasent eather it was good but if you read the book you would be upset the movie was great but the book was the best

The books are ALWAYS better than the movies...That's the reason King remade The Shining and Carrie...to try to get closer to the books...If "IT" was remade to be closer to the book...People would freak the hell out

I agree i read alot of his books and the second shining and carrie where closer to the books

hmmmm Wes Craven, John Carpenter, Stephen King and of course George A Romero...

But yeh as meantioned before somewhere stanley kubrick is rather good too...I loved how to did the shining and a clock work orange
