Lightbulb EarthCore

Let me tell you about Scott Sigler and his great podcast horror novel EarthCore Death from Below. It's the very first podcast novel and it's free to listen to. Goto http://www.scottsigler.net/earthcore, or you can pick up a hard copy at Amazon.com and take a listen/read and become a junkie like the rest of us. You can also find out about Scott's newest book coming out. You can also hit at http://sidsspot.blogspot.com/ and comment on my blogs about entertainment you like and think it needs to be known about.

Unhappy

I must say I'm sorry I don't want anyone to think I'm trying to spam, sell, or other wise, just want to share a good book and how to get it. But what good books are there out there?

Books I like

Most of Stephen King and Dean Koots.
Though hard to follow I also like Peter Shrab (<-- I think) co-autherd with Stephen King in the Talisman and Black House.

Bram Storker's Dracula very long but good.

Thumbs up CARNACKI

I've just been reading William Hope Hodgson series books called CARNACKI. Your basic Ghost hunter with almost realistic tellings of hantings, both real and fake within the story. These are very old books and the setting is in what seems the mid to late 1800's in England. Very good read.

Gotta start somewhere, right midnite? One seems like a good enough place, I think I'll start there too!

I think EarthCore was great too and definitely can't beat the price! It's got something like 10,000 downloads so far. I loved the Stephen King Dark Tower series also. Thery're sort of connected to the Talisman and Blackhouse. But, way more blood and guts in EarthCore! ha! ha!

Glad I found this site.

Slasherman: can you recommend any horror audiobook titles? The scarier the better!:D

I've listened to it since the prologue podcasts, and it's pretty damn good. Like many a good book, you've got to stick with it through an episode before it really starts to grow on you (and before the author's voice stops sounding funny reading as different characters).

The big plot mystery is definitely a good surprise, as are the many and varied ways your favourite characters are picked off, one by one.

Dean Koots? - what is he Dean Koontz's older brother?

And- am I the only one who senses one person posting as multiple people here?!?!?! I've never heard of Earthcore - and noticed when looking on amazon that it was an "ipublish" and the new paperback version isn't even out yet. . . hmm, lots of "people" seem to be championing this vanity press book. . .

well, you know what they say, if it don't gel it ain't aspic . . and this ain't geling.
