Any new creepy japanese horror movies that i should know about?

Watched "Phone" last night.It was aight,def worth a rent...although the little girl in it was great.One of the creepiest kid performances I've seen.

if it's not little girls.....it's women with long wet hair......these asian films begin to seem alike after awhile

Very true....it was scary after the first 3 or 4 times but enough is enough. I guess its much like Hollywood...they find something that sells and its OVERKILL time.

I'm still waiting for "Shutter" in the mail.I'm hoping it comes sans creepy kid & long black hair.

they certainly seem to have the same elements ...
but they manage to use them with great effect (except Phone, which i didnt like at all .. again with the hair in the drain ?)

I think the japanese ghost film is so much like the italian giallo films its crazy ... only the japanese being supernatural where the italians - its a slasher ..

they are both presented as mysteries .. it has to be solved before there is closure.
It's always traced back to somethingt the lead character - potential victim was involved in ..

the japanese substituted shocks for the italian gore but they still follow a lot of the same 'rules'

Oooh, so very, very true newb. But i´m a sucker for creepy movies no matter how unimaginative they´re starting to get.:)
