Hmm... to me, I didn't think it was dull. It's been about a yr since I've seen it, but I remember there was always something mildly entertaining going on. I thought it was mildly entertaining. Not exciting, nor notable in anyway.

I've seen 28 Days, and thought it was better than Z. Having seen most of the big 'zombie' films, I thought 28 Days was decent. Did you think 28 Weeks was better or worse than 28 Days?

Chris Nolan's first venture into pure science-fiction, inspired by renowned physicist Kip Thorne's research & theories. Well...may be I'm not a science guy but as far my little knowledge & understanding goes, I think may be for the very first time here I've seen something that I like to call as a Wasted Opportunity for Mr. Nolan. Thing is, Interstellar offers a good story with great cast & visuals, no doubt but only one of those stories that's just a good read, not a million dollar budget movie material, IMO. Though there's plenty of far more disappointing or worse films get release every year with more or less same million dollar budget but the reason I've just said that is I didn't expect only a good or decent sci-fi flick from Chris Nolan, specially after building such huge anticipation for its contents; I expected something spectacular or extraordinary that would blew my mind away! Surely Nolan brothers selected here very interesting & great contents (i.e. wormholes, black holes & gravitational waves) for their first "Sci-fi Epic" but my frustration is they could have & should have done a gripping sci-fi THRILLER with said contents than to go along with a safer route which is actually merely a sci-fi adventure-DRAMA and after watching this, to some extent it even feels like it'd better be a docu-drama instead. They had materials on their table with which if they could have dared more or played with those ideas more, we'd get something close to a true sci-fi masterpiece like Blade Runner, Alien, Star Wars or even 2001: A Space Odyssey!

Anyway, it's a good film & needless to say offers a better story & contents than Upside Down for sure but frustrated me somewhat like the same way as that film did with the promising content(s).

Maybe my expectation was too high but sorry Mr. Nolan, you disappointed me this time in your Interstellar voyage.

Looking forward to seeing this.

Katie Holmes as school teacher/vigilante.
Not bad, not great, just ok.

Guardians Of The Galaxy (2014)

One the best Marvel movies I've seen along with the X-Men and The Avengers.
Cool characters, fun jokes, cool action and sweet special effects.
Looking forward to the sequel.

Starry Eyes (2014)

Slow and stupid.

lolz! Yeah, I know it's kinda stupid to expect another masterpiece like Metropolis, 2001 or Alien nowadays but thing I tried to say was in Interstellar, Nolan Brothers really brought some fascinating topics of astrophysics to play with for a sci-fi extravaganza that's got potential to provide something CLOSE to those kind of masterpieces. But I guess, they were more cautious about theoretical implementation aspects of those contents rather than building an exciting & refreshing story along the process. Here they kinda played safe and that's my frustration was all about. If that's the case then they should make a documentary film about astrophysics & Kip Thorne's theories instead. Even the little twist at the end it provides was way too predictable for me, I guessed that within first half an hour.

Starry Eyes 2014

I'd say it's worth at least a 7 out of 10. Very slow-moving film.. lots and lots of build-up and character development and then BAM! Some excellent brutal gory scenes. I found it hard to become invested in the storyline due to the slow pacing of the film, and none of the characters were really likable. I enjoyed the ending and the climactic parts nearing the end, but I felt like I was already checked out before that happened, which made it less enjoyable for me. Cool concept. Worth the watch. But prepare for a long and slow story before it gets any good.

Edge of Tomorrow

This was a lot better than i thought it would be. A lot of fun, great action and surprisingly good acting from Tom Cruise who i'm not too big a fan of. I liked how they did his character, it was a nice change from the typical unbelievable action hero. They did a good job showcasing the different days. Obviously they can't show all of them but they did a good job showcasing that he had been doing it for awhile. I didn't like Emily Blunt's character too much. Seems like Hollywood only knows how to make women tough bad asses by also making them a bitch as well. Get's tiring. The ending was kind of a cop out but it worked. Overall i had a lot of fun watching it and it told a good story and thats all i need from movies like this.

Comforting Skin, 2014. 8/10.

Amazing film. Great characters that were truly 'real'. Flaws and all. The cinematography, music, made this all perfect.

The Slayers; Portrait of a Dismembered Family, 2015. 7/10. {screener}

British Satanic Cannibal family shot like a doco. Can't go wrong with a family that slays together.

A-

Every segment was batshit crazy. I just wished it would have been as scary as V/H/S.
