Same thing happened with the Titanic 3d release as well.
I don't mind an empty theater, but I do like having other people around too sometimes. Its interesting sharing a film with strangers.

Agreed. I like having other people around, sharing a film with strangers. It's kinda a metaphysical experience. Plus, every once in a while I've had some positive interactions with strangers in the audience.
