Yup, Joe Hill is Stephen Kings son. I believe he got a publishing deal before he revealed the fact, because he didn't want to just be "Stephen Kings son"
He's awesome too. In my opinion, his dad tends to shy away from being graphic, focusing more on suspense. Joe Hill tends to take the entrails and rub your nose in them. |

Weird, just weird. I would pick The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon, Cujo, The Tommyknockers, Lisey's Story, Rose Madder, or Firestarter as his weakest but Gerald's Game is probably in my top ten.

I read quite a bit of King in my teens but I have since then read tons of other authors, and yes their are authors out there with just as much to offer as King (Blackwood, Barker, Simmons, Machen, etc.), and a few that surpass him in greatness, but in my opinion only a few that really are greater than King (Poe, Lovecraft). King is the author I always fall back to because he introduced me to horror and weird fiction, I suppose he is like comfort food to me. Their are some authors I haven't got around to reading yet (Ligotti, Le Fanu, Hope Hodgson) and who knows maybe they will be one of the few, I will have to see about that.;)

well thats kind of what i meant ,s.k i allways fall back on coz yeah he kinda introduced me to horror fiction novels, him and maybe dean koonts.but i find they do relate to a wide audience.people not even into horror might enjoy a s.k book(like my girlfriend).but for the true gore fan theres plenty of authors to fullfill there needs with a more graphic nature in there writing.
