This is a good film but nowhere as good as it could've been. Will Smith does a decent job playing the man who wants to make amends for a past mistake. He goes about making life better for seven people but only those who he sees as truly deserving. The big problem is the film spends about 90 minutes of it 2 hour run time devoted to the story of a young woman with a heart condition and the rest dont get much of a look in. I would've loved to see more of Woody Harrelsons blind piano player character but unfortunately he only gets ten minutes or so.
The worst I've seen was Antichrist - i think 4 or 5 couples walked outta that when i went to see it..
Yeah, same thing happened when I went to see Funny Games US. Plus some people stood at the edge of the corridor that goes out to the theatre doors, and they'd look at the screen for a while, then turn away. And so on.
It was weird.
Trailer Park of Terror (2008) TPOT gets a lot of bad love in the ratings, so i am here to set the record straight. For a low budget rock n' roll dark comedy horror flick, you cannot go wrong. The sinister Southern rock splendidly spices this playful flick up. The camera work was awesome, making what would have been prosaic necessities pleasant to the eye. The monsters, both before and after "the ordeal," were just redneck awful in all the right ways. It was not really a scary flick, but one scene in particular was just downright mean. Lots have complained about the ending. Whatever. This was no Sixth Sense, and so i thought the ending was fine. Though Nichole Hiltz's character was too hot to be a trailer park queen, even the hottest of queens can be stuck in the quagmire of the park. Grazie.
derek
TPoT was exactly what it was intended to be, so I liked it as well. Good goofy fun.
