I thought XIII was really cool.
The KAIN series was pretty good, never played defiance though, that was the last one I think?

If you like the storyline of XIII, it's based on a comic - there's a tv series of it too now.

Portal: The first slice.
Essentially the demo for portal, its the first 11 "tests". God, I have been dying for that damn game for over a year now, and now I want it even more. the gameplay is amazing and challenging, and the sense of humor in the VOX voiceovers is awesome. "Failure to navigate the course correctly will result in a negative addition to your score, followed by death."
