In the past few years I've been very partial to "The Blob"--50's classic and a B movie, good story, nice effects. Heck, the damn thing was made out of silicone most of the time, and silicone being a new invention was not a popular material for monsters. So we could call it technically groundbreaking as well.

Motel Hell Mountaintop Motel Massacre the Night Evelyn Came out of the Grave Don't Look in the Basement 2,000 Maniacs Children Shouldn't Play with Dead Things there's a bunch more, but it's early and I can't think of any other ones I really like a lot. it also depends on what you qualify as "B-Horror"

Yeah, "Children Shouldn't Play With Dead Things" is on my list too. It's definitely B-grade (made with pocket change, practically) and it sure does work.
