what movie is this??
What movie is this?? I forgot the name of this movie. There is a blonde girl and she is like a robot but then she starts killing people. She kills one person with a basketball. She throws the ball at the person's head and it explodes.

Probably Craven's daftest film (hold on, what about Shocker?), but still streets ahead of his later stuff.

Great basketball scene!

Great dark ending!

shocker was way more fun than deadly friend ...
at least Peter Berg is fun to watch.
(decent director now)

i actually have the signed advance copy of the book Deadly Friend was based on (just called Friend) by Diana Hansteel (i have the spelling wrong)

talk about obscure fan junk.

I like the doomed central romance in Deadly Friend - if this was a shock the first time round, repeated viewings make you approach the film with more caution... it's maybe not fun in the conventional sense, but there are a lot of good bits to keep you happy while the tragedy unfolds (the ghastly trigger-happy old woman, Sam's nasty father, the corpse-stealing, the bickering between the two heroes, and of course "BB").

One gets similar pleasure from the offbeat romance in the excellent Return of the Living Dead 3.

blonde robot girl? sounds like Eve Of Destruction. But there's no basketball scene in that movie.;)

Deadly Freind ssssssuuuuucked. Shocker had Mitch "AD SKinner from the XFiles) Pilegi as the villain. Basically "Freddy in the TV. Not dreams"
