True, but the good thing about seeing horror movies when you´re a kid is, that they can actually scare the crap out of you. When you get older they cant anymore..... Snif, snif... ;)

i know what you're saying but i'm not proud of it. my dad just thought it was a movie and that's all i thought it was of course i was freaked out way more than i would've been if i'd have seen it when i was 12 or 13 or whatever the suitable age is. it might have been a little careless on his part but he just honestly thought it was fun to watch horror films and i didn't turn into Jeffrey Dahmer or anything so what's the problem?

i know to someone older like you this probably sounds completely naive but it's just my opinion.

everyone is entitled to their opinion .. no probs ..

but there are a lot of kids it does affect ..

As a parent - i just cant imagine it ... and i am aware of everything my kid watches .. i watch everything with him ...
If i'm not sure about something i research it ..

I have the largest collection of horror movies of anyone i know .. sooner or later he's going to get exposure to them .. but not until he's had as 'innocent' a childhood for as long as possible .. and at a time where he's demonstarated that he can seperate reality from fantasy .. and can understand why such films would be made (and considered entertainment)

I've seen a lot of fucked up people in theatres cheering when 'the girl gets killed' etc ..
these kids needed to mature before being exposed to violent imagery...

i guarentee most of you - when/if you have a kid someday .. will wonder what the fuck your parents were thinking ..

I know I saw a lot of horror movies before this, but this one sticks out to me. I was about 4 or so when my dad watched this. It was not a big movie, I know that. There was this blonde girl, and some guy was telling her if she didn't have sex with this mutant thing he would take a saw to her. I just remeber him saying "sex or saw?" a few times, I don't remember what she did. Nice movie for a 4 year old to see huh? Anyway, anyone know what it is?

i agree with you i don't have a kid yet but i wouldn't let him/her watch alot of the stuff my dad let me watch although he did watch it with me and made sure i wasn't to terrified or influence by anything that was the way he did it but i know what you mean when i saw Freddy vs Jason there were people cheering when Freddy was about to do whatever it is he was about to do to the girl who was the main charactor and i thought it was kinda sick. now when freddy's doing his one liners and smart ass comments and jason just aimlessly walks around like a retard all that's fun and games i laugh my ass of at that myself but to cheer because somebody is about to be raped is sick and people like that probably were screwed up when they were younger by different types of ''unecseptable'' entertainment.

nobody is probably going to read all that shit so basicly i'm saying urge is right.

they have to be old enough to spell .. (jk) :D

its individual - depends on the maturity level of the kid .. or the sensitivity..

i certainly wouldnt dream of exposing a kid to it until they are 13 - 14

nudity - is no big deal - its natural.

but people getting killed as entertainment .... to kids who dont understand the real concept of death ... think about it..
