The Vanishing
I have been obsessing about buying this movie for about 4 months now, and I was just wondering if anyone wanted to give me their opinion on it?

The Vanishing- as in the 1983 french/dutch movie about the kidnapping.

Also, I think I am going to buy the VHS off of Overstock.com but I was just wondering if anyone knew if the VHS has subtitles?

Yeah, the original is mucho cool. The ending is entirely different from the American version. I think it was subtitled but it could be dubbed. I haven't watched it since its original video release.

The video IS subtitled. I just looked it up in a film book.

I've been searching for this film too...to rent. I'm told since I liked the American version that I will LOVE the original.

wow thanks you guys! <end sarcasm> I had a hunch about the ending and that totally confirmed it. Its not even worth it anymore to buy it.
