I just received a picture of my son that I gave up for adoption 18 years ago. Not quite sure how to feel about this. It was great seeing what he looks like, but.......I don't know, I have about a million emotions running through me right now. Had to share this with someone.

seems pretty insane. im sure u had good reaon to give him up

dunno what that means exactly but maybe yuor gona try and meet up with him? odds are he's looking for u too and im sure u could have a relationship..

His father and I broke up a couple of weeks before I found out I was pregnant. It was a very, very nasty break-up, no chance of reconciliation. I was in the military so there really was no way for me to raise him myself. As far as having a relationship with him, I'll leave that up to him. His adoptive mother is the one who sent me the pictures. I don't want to push a relationship on him if he doesn't want it. Thanks for listening everybody (or reading, as the case may be).

She has always known how to get in touch with me. I told her she would always have current information about where I am. I'm the paranoid type - I always think about those stupid TV movies where the adopted child needs a bone marrow transplant or something, and they don't know where the biological family is.

I'm also pro-choice, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it. I knew giving him up was the best thing for him. He has a much better life than I could have given him.
