this is one of the reasons why I didnt bother downloading it via steam... steam network is utter pap.
I've ordered it on-line and should get the HL2 DVD version nextweek.

Well, as you can tell by my change in mood, STeam came back online, and i am so happy, i am tired. HL2 rules. There is a part where a combine soldier tells you to throw a can away. Throw it at him. it is funny. Trust me. Ichi knows what i am talking about.

I have played both now, and sorry, doom 3 kicks ass but hl2 is the greatest thing since the aqueduct.

Okay, so steam finally sorted their shit out last night, so i managed to squeeze in a few hours of gameplay last night in hl2. here is a gaggle of screenshots i took.

Maybe, or a PS2 version. but with consoles, you will lose all of the cool effects. they may even have to dumb down the physics, but pray that they dont. They are spectacular.
