Both are great films, without a doubt. I'm giving Aliens the edge for the Bill Paxton one-liners.

Before i would have said Aliens by a mile, but since seeing the Original in the theaters im not so sure. Alien is definatly scarier and more of a horror movie, aliens is definitily more of an action flick, you gotta love that queen tho, she owns bishop lol.

My point of view on this issue I'm afraid was slightly spoiled through no fault of my own, you see, unfortunately, I saw Aliens about three years before I even knew of the existence of Alien...When I saw Alien eventually, I'm like, "shit...there's only one!?!"....see my problem there? Either way, I was pretty young when I first saw both, and THEN Aliens seemed better, you know, for the young guy I was, lots of guns, lots of aliens ripping the shit outta ppl....However, I have to say that NOW, I think Alien was the scarier of the two, heaps more suspense, I'd call IT a horror, Aliens, I would call an action film.

Personaly I think that the original Alien had the horror element down, but Aliens was very entertaining, fast moving, and had more action. I can't really decide, their both two of my favorite movies of all time.
