No sleep.....
Lucky me, i have the "Critical pager" for the week.... which means when someone has a problem after hours (it is supposed to be only for critical issues, but critical is subjective...) i have to help them.
Imagine this situation: We have no IT people in our Sydney Australia office. there is roughly a 12 to 14 hour time difference between New Hampshire, USA and eastern Australia... My work computer is not connecting to the internet on my new high speed line, so i had to use a wireless modem card to use sprint's network to connect. I could not call, because sprints coverage of my area sucks, so so did my internet connection. I had to connect to the other computer, that was half a world away, in the SOUTHERN hemisphere, over a shitty wireless dial-up connection..... the whole fiasco started at 10:20. i finished at 3:45. I am tired. I( hate people. If i thought he could finsd the guy, i would send Cheeba some money to find him and smack him for me. He was a nice guy, but jesus christ, why in hell did they assign pc tech work to a FINANCE MANAGER?????

I forgot to mention.... A squall tore through here this morning... I was awake because Bree was getting ready for work, so i jumped up and covered my grill so it wont rust... but..... my car window was open all night and i had forgoten. so i get up this morning and my driver's side is soaked.... AND, i desperately needed to shave this morning (i get all itchy if i dont every couple of days).... guess what? No shaving cream.. Remember that part in 28 days later where Jim is butchering his face? I got to reenact that this morning. well, at least i had water.... I like the other part of my job, the webmaster/programmer part. but support sucks. I have spent the last 3 years getting to know people at their "worst" moments.... Like not getting email for a morning is the end of the fucking world....:rolleyes:

I would cut loose, but funds are ridiculously tight right now since we just bought a house. I have to wait until September to breathe easier.... And since i am on salary now... no bonus hours for all the work i did last night...
I just have to hope my fucking boss drags his ass in so i can go home and get some shut-eye.

I really hate explaining the same shit for the 30th time....."Yes, you have to change your password every 90 days. No i wont change it back for you. Yes, we have been doing this for years." I have written EXPLICIT instructions for most of our common tasks, any idiot who knows what a keyboard is and can read english should be able to use them... but no....they need their fucking hands held.... there are days i almost miss getting splinters and getting hit in my package with flying wood in my uncle's woodshop... almost.

Some, but climbing is too much effort, and i dont own a gun.
my computer is hooke dup at home now, so all i need is some tension-cleansing Unreal Tournament, and some nookie, and i will be all set. Oh yeah, sleep, too.
