Recovery. It gets started a bit slow, but overall, it's decent for a slasher. The nearly all female cast was a nice change of pace and it certainly picked up steam over the last 30 minutes, because the big reveal comes at least a bit earlier than usual. On the other hand, the red herring is pretty obvious from the get go and you don't get anything all that memorable.
I do wonder why that final scene was tacked on, because it did not seem to anything other than options for interpretation. Would it have been too much of a downer without?

Daniel Isn't Real was an enjoyable thriller. At the start, I thought it was going in a vein similar to Fight Club, but it soon becomes more than that. Maybe the best compliment to a thriller is when the tension is so good that most of the special effects look a bit silly. Or maybe it's the other way around.
![]() I enjoyed the chemistry between the two main characters and both leads do a good job, with Schwarzenegger junior turning out to be a pleasant surprise (especially when his other Imdb-credits include scouts guide to the zombie apocalypse). Would like to see them in other decent thriller and horrors. Also a mention for Sasha Lane. She reminded me a bit of Lisa Bonet's character in High Fidelity. Don't know if she was purposely chanelling her, just came to mind.
