TO said it was a bad reaction to a mixture of painkillers and natural medicines. Who cares? What does strike me as odd is two hours after he leaves the hospital he goes out of his way to be "fine" by getting on the practice field and saying he wants to play Sun.

I don't think that's odd. I think it's proving that the media blew this waaay out of proportion. He IS fine, or at least seemed perfectly fine at the press conference. Last night right after it happened, his spokesmen said it was an allergic reaction to some prescribed meds and that it was no big deal. Then this morning, I hear that story had somehow morphed into a suicide attempt.

I think he will play Sunday.

You don't think a normal person would say, "I'm fine, I'll get a little rest and be ready to go on Sunday." or something to that effect? He didn't need to be back on the field two hours after leaving the hospital and it seems like he was trying too hard with that.

If he had actually tried committing suicide and it really WAS as big of a deal as they make it seem, then yes. I would think the reaction you described would be more appropriate.

I just don't happen to think it's the case. I think it really was no big deal, which is why he was out on the field a couple hours later like nothing was wrong... It was because nothing WAS wrong. *shrug*

At least that's my take on it.

Amen to that.

The guy is an idiot loudmouth, no question about that. But I do think he gets a really unfair amount of negative press as a direct result of having a big mouth.

The Saints come back to the SuperDome and beat an actually good team with relative ease (on Monday Night no less), and we're talkin' about T.O.

For shaaaaame.

So... who's saying the Chicago Bears aren't the best team in the NFC?

...or the entire NFL for that matter?
