The Scooby Doo Movie
I don't care what people think about this movie, I instantly loved this movie, up until *spoiler* The scrappy doo fight, because he acted like a fag END Spoiler******* But, I could probably watch this at least 10 times in a row if I was bored... maybe. 8/10

SPOILERS AHEAD !!!! you know, since the guy basically has nothing left to live for anymore... his girl killed herself and he feels guilty about it, he has a very large debt, is about to lose his job... he's really at rock bottom. i thought he acted out perfectly the person who, deep down, hardly feels anymore. is kind of numb. or maybe i'll just have to watch it again. :) back on topic : fever pitch.

As said before, to me these are more short film than they are TV episodes...
Masters of Horror: Dreams in the Witch House Though I have to hope Lovecraft has some better stories out there, Stuart Gordon did a great job adapting this one. Though it certainly pales in comparison to Re-Animator or Dagon, his knack for capturing Lovecraft's style of "cosmic horror" shines once again. Ezra Godden, star of Gordons's Dagon, returns as yet another ill-fated Miskatonic student. Id really like to see this guy in some more movies, he was great in both this and Dagon, though the characters are admittedly quite similar. I wont spoil the ending for you, but the final scene involving Ezra's character is very, very cool, and not just any actor could pull it off as well as he. The supporting cast is also very good; the hotel manager reminded me a lot of the same character from Basket Case. Though we could have done without her nude scene, Chelah Horsdal was very convincing. The plot left a bit to be desired, but I guess thats just because I'm not a big fan of movies about witches in general. The ending was very surprising, but no worries I'm not going to ruin it for you. I recommend checking this out for yourself...not as good as Carpenter's Cigarette Burns that it comes packaged with, but it's close. 8/10

Ya, I see where you're coming from. He still could have been...I dunno, more cynical or something? Maybe it was the point, but he just seemed so hollow. It worked well near the end, but whle he was on his quest I dont think it fit at all.

The Gorilla
Though the Ritz brothers are no Three Stooges, I'll be damned if they didn't make this one fun movie. Here they play 3 inept detectives hired to solve the Gorilla murders. The plot is pretty basic fare for these "old dark house" style mysteries, but it was done better than most in the way that it didn't make it's culprit too obvious. Most of the cast is hilarious, not just the Ritz Brothers. Patsy Kelly, who plays the maid, is great fun in that "spunky 30's woman" kind of way. Bela Lugosi is also great as the ever suspicious butler. It does have some downfalls, mostly the non-comedic cast who couldn't act their way out of a paper bag. All in all, this is a goofball mystery that comes recommended by me. 7.5/10
