Meet Dave
There's a reason I despise the self indulgent, over the top pompous acting of Eddie Murphy...I think I just summed it up. This film however, seemed to be the perfect role for him. He could act like an idiot and yet it didn't feel quite as annoying. The story itself was lacking and the script was severely simple, with characters just stating things so bluntly they might as well have turned to the viewer and addressed us directly. I was also disappointed with the acting of Elizabeth Banks, which I'm usually quite satisfied with. This movie was a terrible film, however I can see how it could be entertaining for it's target audience. However, I'm afraid I don't fall for it. 1/5
