I finallly got to watch Let the Right One In. How perfect is that movie? I live it when the set up a film so it has a dreary, depressing atmosphere and give it such a happy ending. I also loved the setting. When do you figure it took place, late 70s/early 80s? Rubix's cube screamed 80s but the clothes and hair were all 70s. Honestly though, I give this a perfect 10, and I'm pretty picky about vampire movies. I hope someone feels like discussing because I have so many things I liked and I need prompting about where to start.

I'm so glad to hear that you liked it. :) I haven't heard much about it except a dismal review in EW. I plan on seeing it this weekend and am about half-way through the book, which I am trying to finish before seeing the movie. It's the last weekend for the movie, so I'll be seeing it regardless.

The book takes place in Oct/Nov 1981.

American Psycho

An all-time favourite...haven't watched it in awhile. What a great movie.

Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

I've never read any of Hunter's work, but I loved Fear and Loathing, so I figured I'd check this out. It's a pretty straightforward documentary, but if you're like me and don't know very much about him, it's worth seeing for sure. I'll have to check out some of his writing now...
