I'm going through all of PRESTON and CHILD'S books and I thought it would be cool to watch their one movie adaption. Wrong. They changed so many things from the book that I became resentful and bored. It was ALIEN meets JURASSIC PARK. This is an example of why I often really don't like to watch a movie more than once. I like to keep the original impression in my mind. Often , repeat viewings ruin my pleasant memories. Anyone else have an opinion on this movie or book?

i read
the book more than a year after
the first time i saw
the movie ( in
the theater) and kept askign myself, "Why did they change this?" thew movie was a passable "trapped with a monster" movie, but
the book was just great. They completely changed most of
the characters, and
the plot to
the point that
the movie bears little resemblance to
the book. And they dropped
the best character (
the fbi agent who's name escapes me)
