As for the others, I'll back/ second: Spider Baby, Quatermass, Onibaba, Targets, all worthy of a spot in the top 20.

I recommend:

Targets (1968) - 4
The Tomb of Ligeia (1964) - 4 (never thought so many would vote for my fave Corman/Poe effort)
Witchfinder General (1968) - 4
Spider Baby or, The Maddest Story Ever Told (1968) - 3
Mr. Sardonicus (1961) - 2

I'll also cast a vote for The Cremator, even though I've never seen it, because Straker argues so passionately for unique films that might slip under the radar. I admire your passion and your taste, Mr. Straker.

Thanks, guys. We have found 4 more films finalised for our Top 20 from the 60s.

Still in search for 2 more. Please check the updated Master List in the previous page for details.

For those who are still compiling their lists for the 70s, it can be found here - http://www.horror.com/forum/showthre...=57593&page=25 (last two posts and the first post in the immediate next page)

Thanks for the kind words, in an era filled with such depth I really appreciate the leap of faith.

@ V: I'll vote for Sardonicus, was in my top 20, just forgot to mention it earlier.... Also working on my 70s list now, proving to be a bit more difficult than I expected. Too many head vs heart type of decisions!

EDIT: I'm down to one spot and three films, but I just noticed on the master list for the 70s Duel (1971) isnt there and its one of the movies that I'm trying to decide over. Love the film but its not exactly out and out horror much more of a thriller but its still got strong horror elements. The truck gives the movie a creature feature feel but not sure if that is enough to qualify it as horror or even if it will make my final list anyway! Anyone have any thoughts?

Duel is a great film, but like you, I'd classify it more as a thriller or suspense film.

Great to see The Cremator making the final cut!!

Finished my 70s list, really tough era.... So many iconic and amazing movies that pretty much picked themselves that there really wasn't much room to maneuver. Alot of the camp 70s flicks that I half expected to see in my list ended up falling short.

I have not seen the movie (so can't back it), but that clip you posted was pretty freakin awesome. I will be making it a priority to watch it.

Done. Tally for the 60s is up to 19 now. We need to finalise just ONE more film.

----------------

Thanks to Straker for submitting his Top 20 for the 70s. I await more entries!
