Drunk Mom Drives With Kids In Trunk
Police: Indianapolis Mother Drove With Kids In Trunk
Woman Charged With 3 Counts Of Child Neglect INDIANAPOLIS -- An Indianapolis woman is accused of transporting three of her children in the trunk of her car Saturday while driving impaired. Police said Linda Lee Crenshaw, 45, was driving with seven passengers inside the car, and three children -- aged 6, 7 and 8 -- inside the trunk, RTV6's Derrik Thomas reported. "We received a phone call from a passerby who saw her put three kids in the trunk. She tells us she did it because she did not want to make more than one trip to the movie theater, which is where she intended to go with the kids," Marion County Sheriff's Department Capt. Phil Burton said. Police said Crenshaw changed her plans and instead headed to a go-kart and miniature golf course. An officer stopped her in the 9900 block of East 10th Street. Crenshaw faces three counts of child neglect and preliminary charges of driving under the influence of alcohol. Crenshaw's great-grandmother, Clara Eggelston, said she can't justify what Crenshaw allegedly did. "I think she used very, very, poor judgement. I have been around people who have a drinking problem and I know they don't think straight when they are under the influence," Eggelston said. None of the children were hurt in the incident. Crenshaw was being held without bond Monday. She is scheduled for an initial hearing Wednesday, Thomas reported.

Ahhhh.... Indiana.....
No offense MM, i have never had any urge to go back to that state. Have you ever been in the Grissom AFB/Kokomo/Peru area? I lived there as a kid. Granted, i was sheltered on the AFB, but the smells that used to blow in from the pig farms have given me less-than-polished memories of the place.

Let me tell you, I have lived here all my life, except for about 4 years in South Florida with my Aunt when my Uncle died. It's quiet and everybody pretty much minds there own business. I do have 10 acres and it's in a pretty rural area, ( I had to get Farm and Ranch Homeowners Insurance, because there wasn't another house within 5,000 feet of me.) There's a couple of Farmers,(Hog, Cattle) and every once-in-awhile an inexplicable odor will waft down around us. But, I love beef and pork, so I figure you can't make steaks without butchering a few cows, and they have to live somewhere. As far as Kokomo it's about 1 1/2 hours North of me, I go through there 2-3 times a year, it's the stoplight capital of the world. It takes 30-45 min to get from one end of town to the other, and it's not that far. They have a relatively new max security prison up there right on the AF base and I have been thinking about transferring there, it's seems like a nice community.

Cool :)
I was 11 when we left, so i know i didnt look at it thorugh the most open minded eyes. I like mountains and water, and we had lived in washington, where i loved it, and vacationed in NH, also mountainous with a coast. I do miss having a-10s flying over all the time though... Plyus, Grissom had a HUGE-ass pool.
