You won't watch the Passion of the Christ but you'll buy The Exorcist

How many of you catch grief from your family members and friends about being a horror fiend? This also goes to our Christian friends/fiends who may catch the most crap about their horror hobbies.

Just to note, I don't want to see the Passion the same way I don't want to watch Jeepers Creepers2 or anything with Rose McGowan.

Not really. everyone i choose to associate with is very "whatever you want for your life is fine" and open minded. if someone were to judge me on those things, i wouldnt have anything to do with them in the first place....

As you can imagine, my list of freinds in the real world is quite small.

Unfortunately, I live with my folks for right now. My dad tends to be a little self-righteous. I do have a friend that gives me grief about my horror obsession just because she gets grossed out easily. Fuck her, I love this shit. Can't get enough.

I personally don't give two shits what "other" people think.Never have, never will.

Actually The Exorcist is a very religious movie. One mans faith being in question and him overcoming his doubts. sorta.......I'm sure the fall down the stairs brought him closer to God.:D

I get shit from everyone I know....

My parents hate it.

My friends kinda like horror, but consider me hopelessly obsess (What smart friends I have :D )

But, I can end argumets pretty quick. Whenever someone says TCM was true.....They're shot down. One guy said Vincent Price wasnt in Edward Scissorhands. Wrongo. Any argument involving any movie actually.....I always win. Then I get proof as soon as I get a chance

I don't. My parents are cool about that. Hell, my dad showed me Halloween when I was five (bastard). Although my g/f's parents seem kinda strict about it. I don't know, having never met them, but going by what she says of them they are.

I catch some flax, but it's mainly because I watch and own so many movies almost all of them are Horror/Sci-Fi. I re-watch a lot of films too, and some people can't figure that out. I go to the theatres a lot during the day, alone, and some of my friends think that is just plain weird.

I saw The Passion of the Christ at the theater, it's one man's opinion of how events unfolded as portrayed in the Bible, nothing more.

I watched an interview once with one of the Priest's who was consulted during the filming of The Exorcist. He told of how many of the incidents which occur in the movie, are based on actual events. But he said it was very rare for more then one or two of these incidents to occur, and that the afflictions suffered in the movie are far and above any extreme.

Why not watch both movies, it's the age old battle of good vs. evil.
