American Remake of Ju-On

I haven't heard much about the American remake of Ju-on. There are three Ju-on movies out in Japan. Are they doing the first one or the latest one?

from memory the first two were low budget direct to video, the 3rd one was released in cinemas and became the hit and this is the one being remade.

The remake is really really confusing its a shot for shot remake of ju-on by the same director and proudced by Sam Raimi and a small part is being played by Ted Raimi. There is ALSO a rerelease of Ju-on The grudge (the remake is called the grudge) so if you are lucky enough to live in a city where they are playing it go see it.
