what horror movie series has spawned the most sequels? i know that their are 12 witchcraft movies

Does Freddy vs Jason count as a sequel?If so there would be 10 Friday sequels.

I guess that it would count, but I always looked at it as a NOES film, because the whole story line revolved around freddy
