Hey all looking to write a horror novel (ive started many but havent finished any) and was wondering if anyone knew of any websites or books that would be good to help me out with the writing process...such as 'how to...' books....
i would like to write a really good, original horror that i can post on here for you guys to read. Any help is appriciated. Ciao xXLadyFrostXx

I'm not sure about any web sites, I think there is a writers' forum somewhere on the net though.
I would suggest both Roderick Usher and Vodstok are the best ones to ask about good ways of writing.

Cool thanks for that Tic...and i will ask Rod and Vod, and i just became a member of a writing forum that is hosted by vBulletin...im writing my first Contest piece right now...its looking good so far.

I would read Steven King's ON WRITING
It is the most practical and most inspiring bit of "nuts and bolts" writing advice I've yet come across. But the best thing you can do is read the genres to which you aspire and pay specific atention to how the stories are constructed, the point-of-view and the use of language. And florrid writing does not equal better writing. Crisp, lean prose will is worth a million over-used adjectives.

Thanks for the tips Rod, ill be sure to find Stephen Kings book. So far the book im writing it looking pretty good, and i like the way its going, i just want to make sure im going about it the right way and that they way im writing it is the best way i can write it.
