Where Better To Ask For Splatter Punk Recommendations?
I'm in dire need for some great Splatter Punk flicks from the 80's to peep and I figured who better to ask then the Gore Hounds themselves. I'm a big, Big time fan of films like: Brain Damage, Street Trash and obviously the Basket Case Trilogy. What I'm looking for in some films in the same vein. The Sleazier and Gory the better. Let me know and have a good time screening whatever you may be watching in tonight and know.... I will be there ..With You.

You might dig Slime City, The Edge Of Hell or Killing Spree. Maybe Blood Diner too if you haven't seen it.

The movies mentioned so far in this thread are the types of movies that made me a die hard horror fan. I'm not sure of the "Splatter Punk" definition though. I never heard of them being described that way.
Here are a few more that I think meet this criteria They're all pretty gory, and they have an odd sense of humor to them. - Texas Chainsaw Massacre II: Greatest horror movie ever! This movie has EVERYTHING! Gore, humor, great performances, great dialogue, hip soundtrack... I could speak for hours and still not come close to giving this movie its proper respect. - Return of the living dead: Can't talk about punk and horror without mentioning this one. - Nightmare City: The term "genius" is often misused, but it's quite apt in referring to this masterpiece of Italian cinema. - Class of Nuke 'Em High: Troma is usually hit or miss, this movie along with Poultrygeist, Toxic Avenger, Mother's Day, and Terror Firmer are worth checking out if you haven't already. |
