May I rant a bit?

I'm going to anyway.

I'll make it quick.

I was driving home from a friend's birthday party, decided to pull over for a smoke (don't like to smoke in my car), I finished, started my car back up and the battery died.

Well shit...

I live in Idaho, in the rural area miles from a main road so I pushed my car by myself for three hours right next to the fire station.

Hooray! ....no...the firemen had a charger but no cables. Hour or two went by no one would help me, so I called the cops.

A lady showed up before the cop, but her cables were defective. The cop showed up and asked me, with my hood open, with jumper cables on my battery if my battery had died.....

No, jackass.

So he shined his flashlight into my car and told me I should get a tow truck and drove off.

Then, a guy who had a very thick Russian accent offered to help but he had no cables, I thanked him for his time.

Then I saw a sheriff come by, he gets out of his car, I ask if he has cables, his response is "why? Is your battery dead?"

.....

he then says "You look tired, is everything alright?"

I explain to sgt. fuckstick that I had pushed the car for three hours to the main road.

....get ready...

The guy tries to issue me a field sobriety test because he thought I was making this shit up....

fucking stupid shits.

Luckily the Russian dude showed up again with cables and a truck, jumped my car and went on his way.

Point is, cops are forgetting the "serve" part of their code. assholes.

Even if you were bladdered when you started your journey, pushing a car for three hours would leave even a priest totally sober!

So a bunch of firemen and two cops wouldn't help but good ol' Joe public stepped up, at least it ended well for you.

It's just another freakin' nail in this year's coffin. It's been a pretty shitty year but it's pretty much desensitized me to failure and disappointment.

I use to be a pretty angry dude but I've been able to laugh at my crazy bout of bad luck lately. :p

Cops suck. That's pretty much the same in every state I've been to. At least the general public is usually willing to help each other out.

The lesson learned here though is not that cops are stupid assholes, that's nothing new, but that you should always keep jumper cables in your car.

Anyway, glad it all got sorted out eventually. Now go swap your battery with someone elses.
