Ok I watched donnie darko. I loved donnie darko. This might be stupid but what happened in the end? I say his mom killed him. Some people say he killed himself. Which is it?

neither, it went back to the beginning and the plane engine landed on him. he dies and everything goes back to normal.

What?!? Are you serious? I think you are really mixed up.
I think his mom went back and wished for him to be happy and not be crazy. So if he never went to meet Frank he got killed by the engine. Or she just wished for him to die and be happy. Or did he travel back and wish for him to die there so nothing bad happens.

I know the jet engine landed on him. But why. And if it did land on him why wasn't he talking to frank like he was the first time.
Why wasn't his mom sad? Why did they have that huge sequence at the end if it just accidentaly went back through time? I think there is more to it. I think that the mom was in the aircraft that went into the portal. Remember when him and that teacher talk about how you need a portal and a vehicle. But, then how would the mom have control over the engine.????? Maybe I just think too much.

The jet engine thing was some sort of cosmic mistake, so was Donnie living, and everything else that happens in the movie. At the end, nature kind of corrected things.
Also, that way that nice girl gets to live, rather than being a horrible car accident victim.

THat makes since, but I like mine better. I think everyone has there own idea. But if he wasn't meant to live, why did he still have a bubble leading him around? I don't know.
It was a really good movie though, one of my fav.

Actually, that movie never really happened. It wasnt made, and you didnt see it. Jake Gillenhal hasnt acted yet. You have seen the future. Or maybe i didnt have enough coffee this morning. oneof the two.
