To tell you the truth, after the buildup with the newspaper clippings, the fact the spooky villain is a guy in a hoodie was a bit of a let down.

300 bucks huh......very nice....good acting.....not bad effects...good editing....I will agree with neverending though, with a name like Mad Hatter you could have been a bit more creative on the killer.

I appreciate your comments! The film is about the drug called "The Mad Hatter" (that's a top hat on the pill...not an "E") The guy with the hoodie is called The Enforcer. We couldn't do everything that we wanted to do since we had under $300, but we have great ideas for the feature! It's not gonna be just The Enforcer killing people for 90 mins. We have a huge cast of crazy characters!

For more info about the Feature check out our site at

Thanks!

But the teaser is supposed to get people interested in watching the movie, right?

Kondelik,
nice job with the teaser. Looks visually interesting. Out of curiousity can you tell me what cam and other gear you used? I'm always interested in seeing which equipment was used on fellow indie productions.

Thank you! Our DP had a panasonic HVX200 w/ 35 mm adapter. As for lighting...we were very limited....I think we had maybe 3k watts at the most. That's pretty much it. We built the set ourselves...had only 3 walls. The third wall was moveable. I think that was about it.

Thanks again!

I think it was great man. I love the special effects and the gore that you incorporated. Definitely put a chill down my spine. I didn't like the male actor soo much in the beginning, but thought the girl was great! Also I personally love the killer. I mean you can't go wrong with that badass, somewhat supernatural and unkillable killer.

Cinematography I thought gave the trailer a very real look and sucked you into the action. Definitely a good move going with the 35mm adapter also! Other then that I mean I'm intrigued to say the least for the feature and just want to say great job with such a minimal budget.

We shot our promo trailer for our feature film "Broken" with just the HVX200, some bounce boards, and on a $500 budget. I'd love to get your feedback.

Check us out at www.hailstormentertainment.com and it's called "Broken Promo Trailer" in the projects section.

Honestly upon first watching it I wasn't very interested, I was curious about why the girl had to die though. But viewing your site and reading about it I will say that it sounds very interesting and I will check it out when it's released.
Very nice job on the effects by the way I also love the crackhead drawings with the spade carved in the face very interesting, gives them a sort of gang appeal.
