Playstation 3 with 250 GB in November!

Sony has confirmed that it will launch 250GB PlayStation 3 Slim console in November this year.

Back in August, Sony had announced PS3 Slim 120GB for $299 and now, 250GB HDD loaded PS3 Slim will cost $349. North American consumers will be the first ones to get his 250GB PS3 Slim model from November 3 onwards.



The news about 250GB PS3 Slim model CECH-2000B was dug up on the same day when Slim was announced at GamesCon 2009 Expo.

Slim doesn't offer installing games on the hard drive. However, Sony is pushing PlayStation Network's 2300 movies through the video delivery service. Some of these are available in High Definition. The PS3 Slim won't have any game bundled for its U.S. consumers but for Europe region, Sony might bundle a game or may be two.

The new PS3 Slim boasts of consuming 34 percent less power as compared with its previous generation model. PS3 Slim has new 45nm fab process manufactured Cell processor but runs at same clock speed. With built-in WiFi and USB Ports, the Hard Drive access has been made easy and doesn't give any warranty voiding fears.

Both 120GB and 250GB PS3 Slim models would be on sale during the holiday seasons. Along with them, a number of much awaited game titles would be sold.

Also, an eager developer slipped out information about cross-game chat coming with next major PlayStation 3 update. Nevertheless, his post was deleted from the forum.

Cross-game voice chat is something PS3 gamers have been requesting since ages.

"Naughty Dog Dev" ReklissAbandon, forum moderator, stated that, "Not to mention that the next PS3 firmware update is going to allow cross game chat. So, if players use that instead of in game communication then they would also be able to communicate enemies positions." The post led to a buzz that Sony has been working on cross-game chat for a while and is still under works.

PlayStation 3 firmware update 2.70 brought cross game text chat. To supplement that, cross-game voice chat was in works but not yet ready. Sony doesn't make any confirmations to the speculations or rumors. Yes, the feature is well deserved since quite a number of games are coming with myriad online gameplay. In that case, cross-game chat would add more fun to online gaming via PS3.

We dont know if the developer spilled the beans before time. But yes, just like cross-game text chat, the voice chat would come sometime soon.

Wow really? I owned a PS3 about a year in a half ago for a week before i took it back, just because when you got a message you had to go to the dash board. I was use to my 360, where I could voice chat and text from where ever you wanted since launch day. I have however been thinking about getting a PS3 again, only just for the blu-ray though.
