			Lionsgate and Lakeshore to Make Vatican Tapes Source:The Hollywood Reporter October 6, 2009 Lionsgate and Lakeshore Entertainment will co-produce The Vatican Tapes, a spooky genre film written by Christopher Borrelli from a story by Borrelli and Chris Morgan. Lionsgate acquired the thriller, in the vein of The Exorcist or Rosemary's Baby, and will co-distribute globally with Lakeshore. Gary Lucchesi, Tom Rosenberg, Chris Cowles and Morgan are producing. Borrelli and Chris Fenton are executive producing. |

			Sounds promising, religion always offers the opportunity for a bit more excess and grandure than most themes. Powerful musical score coupled with an ageing, god fearing priest and maybe a bit of satanic posession thrown in should do the trick. I just hope it ends up more in that mold than a bunch of teens getting hacked up by a crazy monk....

			I like the title "The Vatican Tapes." It intrigues me. I'm definitely in the mood for some "demonic possession" - it's been a while.
