Mourning After
Sidney Kimmel Entertainment, A Bigger Boat and GreeneStreet Films have purchased "Obsessed" screenwriter David Loughery's supernatural thriller pitch "Mourning After."
The three banners will co-finance, develop and produce. The pitch was brought into SKE by Sparkler Entertainment ("National Treasure"), which will also serve in a production capacity on the project. Andrew Bernstein of Sparkler Entertainment will exec produce. Loughery is currently penning the screenplay, set in contemporary San Francisco and centering on a man who falls in love with a beautiful woman with a timeless, deadly secret. Story's based on an original idea from Sparkler topper Charles Segars and Steve Ireland. A Bigger Boat and GreeneStreet Films are currently working with SKE on developing "Mixed Blood," a crime thriller with Phillip Noyce attached to direct and Samuel L. Jackson set to star. Loughery also penned crime thriller "Lakeview Terrace."
