Did you know?

Ok, ok....
I aint gonna tell you a whole lotta shit you didn't know...
I've been looking up and down the thread list, and I'm just wondering, is it that we've just "run out" of HORROR shit to talk about or what? I guess that IS a probability, seeing as it seems that right now horror movies are pretty much outta freshness, and there's only so much we can recycle too.
Here's some random shit.

Rosemary is great for cooking with.

Constant hot weather sucks.

Zombies ate my neighbours, Flashback, and Shining Force were 3 of the best 16-bit games EVER.

Wondering if the "Alone In The Dark" will be the first game-based movie to break the "must suck" rule.

Hey, what do you guys think of this....I live in Australia, as alotta u probably know by now. So, I just saw on the national news, that this aboriginal kid (no, I don't think you're all totally ignorant, but I'll say this all the same - Here in sydney, where I live, aboriginals are pretty much "ghetto", they don't cause all that much shit, but theyre generally a low-end criminal element. In other parts of the country, it's all good for them, and we "all get along" but, not here in sydney, definately not here....I dunno when it started, but, trouble, trouble, trouble...but still very much "taken care of" as a minority) aaaanyways, this aboriginal kid was apparently fleeing from some cops on his bicycle, and somehow things got fucked up, and he fell off the bike, and got impaled on a gate, had two
heart attacks on the way to hospital, and died.
So this starts a small riot in a certain area, the "locals" vs police, then a riot squad gets called in and shuts it down. Right now, there's this big uproar where the sydney aboriginal community and the "aborignal rights" ppl are blaming the police for the whole thing.
I just can't help but wonder why, that the majority of times I hear about criminals fleeing the police, say, in a car-chase situation...and the criminals wreck their car and get themselves killed, it's all good, end of story....
Why in this instance do the police get the bad wrap?
I mean, obviously the kid WAS running for a reason....

*I think somebody should assasinate the Hilton sisters.

*What's the new peter pan movie like?

*Where (online) can I get good selection of foreign (english subtitled) movies on dvd....someplace that'll ship?

*Who likes to cook, and what do you like cooking?
Sub question - most successfull (potent) weed recipe

*Most eagerly anticipated upcoming horror movie?

aaaaaaand - thaT's it
-B.

So many questions, so much time, but so lazy. I'll do my best.

Horror can only be discussed so long until it becomes completely repetative, that's why all these other threads are popping up. I mean, it's a pretty specific topic.

Rosemary is good for cooking... Mmm spices.

Constant hot, wet weather sucks. 120 F + 90% humidity = pure pain.

I dunno about the games, didn't ever play much of the 16-bit :P And most recent games suck... Ex: Playstation 2, Xbox, Gamecube, meh. You'd think with all the games being released, and all the companies out there making them, someone could create more than a handful of good games.

Dunno about Alone in the Dark.

Well there's several reasons why the cops are getting a bad rap. He's a kid (you didn't mention exactly how young), sounds like the aboriginese are discriminated against, so of course their population is going to explode when something like this happens, why was he running from the cops in the first place? He could have been in the wrong place at the wrong time, and simply got scared and ran. In that case the police just caused an innocent to die. Who knows though?

If you offered enough money I'm sure you could hire a professional. I'll even put in $5 :P

Haven't heard anything about the new Pan flick.

Try www.amazon.com cuz they have a shitload of stuff. Other than that, I'm not sure.

I like to cook, although I'm not very good at it. I always seem to screw something simple up.. But I try. Dunno about the weed, never used the stuff myself.

Anticipated horror movie.. That's a toughie. I'd have to say Alien vs. Predator, although something tells me that may suck big time... Haven't seen too many good horror movies lately.. They're not even scary anymore.

Hope this helped some, although I'm pretty sure it didn't.

Answer for the foreign DVD question. Try b-movie.com. They have a pretty good selection of foreign movies, but their shipping sucks. I ordered Ichi the Killer and Eternal Blood January 20th and I still haven't got them yet.

Hey, check it out.

Eternal Blood

Ichi the Killer

I've ordered plenty of stuff from Amazon, and they're very good with delivery, and have pretty decent prices as well... I've mentioned Amazon several times on here, it's like no one even knows it exists :P

Rotting Eye...the "kid" in question was 17, and yeah, if he was being chased, I would assume FOR A REASON.
He was impaled through the neck and chest....funny thing is, got an update on that one, now the cops involved are saying that they were in the area, but NOT chasing him...even though there are more than a few witnesses that are saying otherwise....weird huh?
Thanks for the suggestion Juan....how ya been?
Cmon....somebodys gotta have some potent "green" recipes...?

Well sounds like you're just going to have to wait for a full report on that one to come out until you know what really happened.

I hate rosemary.

The new Pan flick is a children's movie, howver Jason Issacs is hot.

Okay, Cheeba...Cook up a pound of potent mary jane in fine olive oil, because THC breaks down in fat. When the mix is cooked down, strain it and add the liquid to spaghetti sauce. Pour over hot noodles and enjoy. It'll be a little greasy, but it should tear you up.

The kid factor: Shit like that happens all of the time here in the States. It's hard for me to decide. I mean, he did have a really heavy accident. I'm just wondering how he managed to impail himself. I don't know, man...it is a little suspicious isn't it.

As far as looking forward to horror movies...I'm sick of being disapointed. Maybe if I stop looking forward to them...my expectations won't be high...thus, I won't be disapointed.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors was a really fun game, especially being in the mall. heh heh heh I, unfortunately, never got to play Alone in the Dark. My dad would never let me have it.

I guess I'll be the sad loser who says it:

The new Peter Pan movie was good.

(I see pretty much all and every movie that plays at my local movie theatre)

When I first saw Hook I really liked it and I was surprised that I did. On repeated viewing it linda sucked!

Peter Pan is NOTHING like Hook. It's basically going back to the original book. It's surprisingly well done, I'd never thought I'd say it but it was actually rather magical. I was impressed, I thought it was gonna be a totally lame kiddie flick. The action scenes were great, it didn't talk down to kids, it was funny and sweet and very well acted and just worth seeing.
