Best most hardcore yet quality horror film

what is everyones vote for the best most mind grueling horror movie. I have an experiment im trying to pull off. was a psych major for awhile in college then film major. want to put together loop of powerful horror images and real world 'faces of death" type images. put on a loop and watch for a certain time (not determined yet). with some other factors also. No im not a nut at all. just have a few week and a inquisative mind. so give me what ya got. thanks

I would take the images of Samara's victims from The Ring.

Input from anyone else?

Can't get much more scarier than big sharp teeth that look ready to rip you to shreds! :)
Quite old now and there might be better images out there, but during it's time... the changing (face close-up) in American Werewolf in London.

Rip 'em to shreds bro! :D

(Or was it just ripped up images you was looking for?)

If you really want some gore I suggest Herschell Gordon Lewis Movies, he was one of the godfathers of gore films, Blood Feast, 2000 Maniacs, Color Me Blood Red, The Gore Gore Girls, The Wizard Of Gore,The Gruesome Twosome. Plus the movie Pieces from director Juan Piquer Simone has some great gore scenes in it also.

thanks will appreciate that. it will be mixed with real actual death/rage/ anger scense though to. i may not personally be picking the exact shots. im a dork by no means but i am differnt with a weird sense of mtoivation. im may not be picking exact scenes my self so the suggstions are help full. it may be better to let partner pcik actuall scenes. what im doing is putting a light proof top on a jaquzi putting a tv in the top with the top as close to the water as possible. i want it totally dark, simple room temp, have some subtle "thought enhancement" help and sit there in the dark with that as the only source of light and sound from friday morning until monday(the goal). I think i can do it that long with the "thought and mood helpers". not weird i actually date hot chicks, have a real job, fine looking, love bars and amsterdam. never play dungeons and dragons. just want to see

WTF does that have to do with anything? Who cares who you date or what kind of job you have, and wtf does D&D have to do with anything? What are you talking about?
